About 8 Count Social

I am, and always have been, a creator at my core.  From a young age I loved movement, it completely captured and fascinated me.  Into adulthood I realized the power that art has on us as human beings.  I have had the great fortune to train in many dance styles, in a variety of settings, across the country throughout my life.  With each new experience, I realize the beauty of our bodies as instruments.  

Dance  will forever be my love and foundation as an artist.  Throughout my professional career as a public school teacher, I also learned the importance of connection amongst humans.  With daily practice in teaching dance, mathematics, communication, and improvisation courses, I now understand the importance of building community using joyful means.  

It is out of these experiences that the idea for 8 Count Social developed.  With an original mission to bring  dance into peoples’ homes as an entertainment option, 8 Count Social began in 2017. 

8 Count Social has expanded to design public events also.  I believe art is what inspires and brings us back to the best basics that life has to offer.  My mission is to support humanity through connection and positivity with each event created.
